Christopher J.P. Mitchell, Esq.

I have always had a passion for business, specifically entrepreneurship and the entertainment arts. I studied Business Administration as an undergraduate student at George Mason University and then as a student at Pace Law School, I concentrated my studies on intellectual property and entertainment law. This included time spent living in Los Angeles, California, studying at SouthWestern University School of Law’s renowned Entertainment and Media Law Institute.

I have been practicing in New York State for almost ten years. During this time I have been involved in the representation of major banks and lending institutions, as well as large and small businesses in a variety of legal matters. I am extremely proud of my work with these particular clients, however deep down I knew that to me, my work with the small businesses, the entrepreneurs, the individuals and the creative artists was the most fulfilling.

I opened the Law Offices of Christopher J.P. Mitchell, PLLC to re-direct my focus to serving this client base. I also wanted to step away from the ‘traditional’ law practice and take advantage of the advancements in digital media and technology in the way I deliver legal services to my clients. These advancements in digital media and technology have disrupted the legal landscape in which businesses once operated. My areas and style of practice have evolved in step to assist clients in their navigation of the laws and regulations that intersect with business, media and technology.

I have taken great satisfaction in working with businesses, entrepreneurs, entertainment and creative artists as they build, develop and protect their brand. I have made it my priority to understand and respect my client’s vision and to protect their creations. I know how to protect you, your vision and your business. My ability to mesh legal knowledge with sound business principles when approaching issues is my strongest asset. Contributing to my client’s success is my greatest pleasure.
